NCT failed re-test

hi all,

May car failed on corroded brake line/hoses and gas to go back in for retest.

i have put the two car seats back into it again and the job is done so going back with it on Sunday but I’ll have the kids with me and the child seats in it. Do I still have to take the child seats out for a re test or are they just checking for the thing that failed originally on the test.

basically wondering if I can just leave the two child seats in it for the re test.

Yes you can leave them in, retest is only for the failed items.

They only look at the elements that failed - so no you can leave the seats in since they are not related to the brake lines.

Thanks everyone. That’s a great relief, didn’t fancy taking the two child seats out in the lashings of rain while also trying to entertain them both!

no need to remove them for full test either.
