Dry food for golden retriever puppy.

Have our golden retriever pup on Gain Elite Big Dog Puppy. She is coming up to 7 months old next week.

She eats her food up eventually, but has never been a big fan of it and sometimes wouldn't finish it, leaving a good chunk of it.

Ingredients for gain elite seem very good for the price, but her gas and more importantly her poo haven't been great.

She is constantly getting soft stools, and even diaherra.

Would like to try her on something else, something around the 40-60ish price range for a 12kg bag.

Oddly her morning poo, can be fairly solid, but then her evening one will be soft.

Any recommendations be appreciated.

is the bowl on the floor? That might be the source of gas/bloat.

My 3 year old golden does well on red Mills leader sensitive lamb. He had poo issues with other brands even byrnes that vet recommended. Red Mills has been good and it's reasonable price

I was looking at the leader puppy and the feeding quantities seem mental.

But reviews of the leader range overall do seem very good.

They have a few different ranges depending on dog size. I had big issues with diarrhea from other brands including Burns which stopped with using Leader Supreme Sensitive. It is about 60 quid a 12kg bag, not bad as Burns was around 80 quid for the same thing!

I also got a slow feeding dish for him which does help slow down their eating this kind of thing:

we also have a golden retriever and I read that their bowls should always be raised from the ground as otherwise they will gulp air in with food and water. We’ve done it and while the lively girl can fart a lot she’s never had any other trapped wind.
