Help to Buy Scheme - Contractor Removing Items

    Hi,

    Looking for advice on how to approach a situation;

    We recently bought a house(deposit paid, contracts signed) and the house is awaiting to be 1st fixed. When we bought the house the developer brought the value of the house down to 500k to allow us to avail of the HTB scheme, but that meant that there were things that were removed from the price(painting, tiling, appliances, only 1 bathroom complete, a very basic kitchen to what would normally be included, etc), basically deducting the costs of how much they lowered the price of the house to allow us to get the HTB scheme.

    Since then, the developer has been very, very slow to respond to any correspondence and can’t even provide basic timelines of when I can tee up the subcontractors to do their work.

    2 questions;

    How can we get traction with the foreman? And is what the developer has done, in terms of the HTB scheme, even legal?

    Thanks
