I had a new Combi Gas Boiler system Installed in 2010/2011 The system incorporated a Walrus TQ200 Walrus Pump. I had to replace the pump on 6/10/2014 with a new Walrus TQ200 Pump on advice from a plumber. Yesterday 28/3/2024 I had to again replace the pump this time with a Walrus HQ200B Pump. This is the third pump in about fourteen years which seems very excessive considering the price of these pumps and installation costs. Can someone give me some advice about this problem?

Many thanks if you can help me.

Many plumbers don't know how to repair pumps, electric showers etc. Absolutely nothing wrong with that but some of these plumbers then recommend replacing a pump that could easily be repaired.

In Dublin there are several dedicated pump repair companies. They do nothing else but repair pumps. Maybe engage one of these companies and get a quote for repairs.

Average lifespan of a pump is 10 or 12 years

Hi. These pumps have internal pressure vessels, have you ever had it looked at to verify its pressure or see has it burst?
