Well as it states looking for a pair of padded mtb shorts for commute to work. Something to keep rain out during the Irish summer :-) Also enough pockets. Checked decathlon last time I was there nothing great. Seen a few on Temu but looking for suggestions

    Thanks

I have a pair of Endura HUmmVee II shorts, RRP €70 but normally €30-40. Over a year of abuse and no signs of damage, I like them, comfy and nice enough to wear for casual summertime socialising IMO.

Was going to recommend the same. I bought a pair for bike touring and they were perfect. They dissapeared around the same time my son went travelling!

    Good selection here:

Looking for something decent myself. Decathlon started off good but it's gone to shite. Big huge empty shop with nothing in stock. I'll never go back to it.

lidl have bike stuff at the moment. not sure if that includes shorts, but I used some lidl padded shorts years ago and they did the job.

    Otherwise yep endura.

I'd suggest just wearing a pair of regular bib shorts, and then wearing a pair of non padded MTB shorts over them if you want the pockets/modesty.

I'd go for Endura stuff as well, any shorts/pants I've gotten have been comfy/casual looking and lasted for years (never had to throw out a pair so far).

These BN3TH North Shore Chamoix are supposed to be well good, innit.
