    Hi All.

Iuse an extender similar to the one pictured to assist with the wifi from the modem in the hall to the sunroom at the back of the house , and to an upstairs bedroom.

    it has ports for 2 lan/ethernet (?) cables , but i now need a 3rd.

Is it doable to use another one?

What setup have other people used ?

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance.

Do you need the extra LAN port (or WiFi) at a different location?

if you need more LAN ports at the extenders original location a cheap switch could also be an option.

    Sorry , just to clarify.

I have the TP 'plug' in the hall beside the modem - the other 'plug' is in the upstairs bedroom, and the 2 lan cables are run from that plug to the bedroom, and to a room downstairs.

Do i need another 'plug'/tp to get wifi into another upstairs bedroom?

These seem to connect to each other via the wifi??

I used these in the past, but have ditched them once I bought a mesh system.

    REad up on them.

Plenty of reviews online. Depends on size of your houseand requirements etc.

I bought a Tenda Nova MW3 system and it's been excellent.

    hi,

This video may be helpful to you it explains how your current setup is working?. If you add an additional remote unit the same as currently in bedroom and pair it with your existing one and plug it into socket in new location your good to go. I’m no expert on this subject but I have this setup with a few remote units spread around my home working perfectly?
