newbie to 3D printing , been researching and comes down to a choice between the Prusa M4 or the Bambu P1S

i can get the Bambu P1S with AMS attached for same prices as Prusa Mk 4 with no AMS or enclosure , €1k.

heavily leaning towards P1S , any thoughts ?

I'm new to printing, ~6 months, have a Bambu Lab A1

I've watched "a lot" of youtube on all 3D printing in general

    Bambu Lab 100%

My take away from every other brand - expect to learn the engineering side as you'll constantly be fighting something

    Bambu Lab….they just work

If you really enjoy working on the printer rather than using the printer, then go anything except Bambu Lab

And ignore all the fuss over firmware updates. This is essentially creator engineers freaking out they can't mod everything….you actually don't want this if you want to use the thing and not be fixing it all the time

Think of it as the computer building/overclockers of old vs I just want an awesome computer that works to use/play games with etc

+1 to above. I had a Creality 10S as my first printer and it drove me mad having to constantly adjust it and fiddle with it. I spent more time playing with the printer settings etc than actually printing.

Bought an X1C and it just works. I bought an AMS then after to go with it. I've had to fiddle with it twice in 9 months (once I set PLA when it was ABS - my own stupid fault) and it was so much easier even to troubleshoot and unclog etc. Couldn't recommend highly enough if you can afford.

I’m new to the forum and interested in 3D printing. Bit late maybe for you but I have a Bambu A1 (with AMS) and a Bambu mini. I can recommend both for a new entrant to 3D printing but obviously the mini is the cheaper option at around €200 online from the manufacturer or an Irish outlet that google will find. I hope this helps and good luck
