I was thinking of running a hot dog cart at local tourist national Heritage site near me this summer.

I will have, registered business, tax compliance, health cert and public liability insurance.

Would I be ok to pull up and trade? I see I cream vans there the time?

anyone with any experience I’d be grateful for your input.

No. You cannot just pull up anywhere and start selling. You'd have to get a licence from the local council.

Heritage sites in particular can be sticky enough. They aren't going to have any Tom, Dick and Harry turn up and make money off it. Likely they'd charge you rent to sell there.

I was in Brighton a few weeks ago. in a club. There was a man selling hot dogs in there and he was doin well. There was a queue for them. If I was doing it…and If I had the balls…to do it: I'd wear something that stands out…almost clownish….create a visual draw….

Running a hot dog cart at a national heritage site sounds like a great idea! However, you’ll need to ensure you have the proper permissions. Here are key steps:

    1. Contact Site Management: Reach out to the management of the heritage site to inquire about their policies on food vendors. Some sites require a permit or have designated areas for trading.
    2. Check Local Regulations: Ensure you comply with any local regulations regarding street trading and food sales. This may include health and safety inspections.
    3. Insurance and Certifications: Make sure your public liability insurance and health certifications are up to date, as these will be required for trading.
    4. Consider Competition: If there are other vendors, check if there are any restrictions on how many vendors can operate in the same area.

If you get the necessary permissions, you should be good to go! Good luck with your venture!

I'd go with a big Donald Trump mask and his signature jacket shirt and tie ensemble.

It will probably put off 50% of American tourists but you could charge the other 50% any price you want plus an additional few Euro for a selfie.

"Very soon we are going to Mars. You wouldn't have been going to Mars if my opponent won, that I can tell you. You wouldn't even be thinking about it."

    Donald Trump, March 13th 2018.
