Anyway to detect car colour

Is there anyway to find colour of a vinyl wrapped car? Basically want to add skirts on a car, definitely don't expect to find the same vinyl wrap so was considering painting the skirts. Is there anyway a camera or something can detect color or something similar

The issue with a camera is that it will be affected by external light, and cameras are generally made so that images look good, as opposed to being perfectly accurate. The motor factor will used something similar to this device to get a really accurate match.

The reason I mention this at all, is that I've occasionally seen people trying to get a color match from a photograph which is almost impossible, and then wasting money by ordering the wrong paint online.

Vinnybyrnes do it. Brought in a small panel from a car before and they matched it up

Yes used them before, brought the fuel cap door and they matched it up.
