planning permission rural

    Looking for planning rural village , site is within 5 km of parents house but different town land . Lived there my whole life and working there will this be an issue if different town land someone mentioned they were told it would be .

    Also would people recommend pre planning meetings

    You should look up the rural housing policies contained in your county development plan. That would be available online to view and possibly download. Then decide if a pre-planning meeting is necessary. Alternatively you could engage a local planning agent to advise.

    Just to note that each County has its own development plan which contains the various policies including exemptions. What may be a requirement in one county could well be an exemption in another so you really need local advice.

    Agree with @muffler each county has its own county development plan. They can vary massively. Getting planning in a rural area can be very difficult in some cases.

    A pre-planning meeting won't give you a yes/no answer either.
