    Deluxe all the way if you have suckler calves. When we had dairy stock we had similar which was fine for them as alot smaller & easier handled.

    Would calves be lost in the deluxe model though. We have small calves done around 10 days

    do you dehorn on your own? I drilled extra holes in my sculling gate and use that-works better with someone helping but I find it way easier than the crates.

    Biggest job is getting them into the crate….sucklers 3-6 week old would test you. I use an old style skull gate myself that’s in the yard creep area. Couple of gates to make a wide chute I can close behind me and squeeze them in. Often thought of a crate, especially given it’s grant aided but not sure it would be any easier.
