Widescreen monitor for MacBook?

    Have been given €250 to spend on a monitor for WFH. Not sure if this figure includes VAT - Was going to assume not and if it does, apologise after.

    Looking to get widescreen, biggest I can get for that money *(which isn't a lot. Will be mostly used for excel & powerpoint with some light video editing thrown in.

    Need to get it within the week (before they change their minds). USBC would be nice to save on cables. failing that, HDMI with a decent enough refresh rate

    Better to go for ultra wide or curved or just go for the biggest best 16:9 I can get for that money, which probably won't be anywhere close to the biggest & best?

    Help please.
