Removing a conservatory, internal wall becomes external

I'm getting my 20 + year old conservatory removed. It's attached to the back of the house and has a sliding patio door into the house plus a dwarf wall which will remain. The radiator is being capped off and removed (it's been turned off for years) as are the 2 electrical sockets, the wooden skirting is also being removed, the UPVC wall cap is being replaced with stone and the floor tiles are suitable for use outdoors so that should all be OK. My concern is that the back wall and the inside of the dwarf wall will go from being internal to external and I'm assuming the plaster finish won't stand up to the elements. I'd appreciate any advice on what I'd need to do / get done to the newly external walls and if any work is urgent or can be left for a few months.

    Thanks

HI, the external walls should have been constructed as external walls initially - the builder who puts the capping on the walls would need to check this. The exterior of the walls would need to be rendered to match the existing walls, I presume these are also rendered or do you have a bare brick elsewhere? A plinth might also be needed just over the DPC level, again depends on the original building. Finally any windows would need to be sealed with silicone, etc.

It's probably not a massively urgent job - depends on the exposure of the area - but I would be planning on having it complete and the exterior painted by the end of Summer or early Autumn anyway.

I suppose a question might be was the conservatory built as part of the original construction or a feature added later?

Thanks for replying, it is an original external wall so it looks like I'd just need to get the rendering done.
