The Ulster Bank hippo piggybank is famous but around the same time, in the 80's, AIB brought out a really ****-hot piggybank to attract kids to open accounts.
It was blue and I think you needed to enter a code and also slide in your fake kid's ATM card, to access the money. It was really impressive for something they gave out free. And it worked, in my case at least, I still have my main account with them and always have, I've an AIB Credit Card and an AIB Mortgage.
