NCT Fail

Missus car failed the NCT, I know it needs a spring, track rod end and CV boot clip they're ordered.

Question is the bumper damage, she crashed into the back of me a while back, small damage but it's sharp edges, can this pass without replacing the bumper and just pulling it together and using glue to keep it there.

I think I can just buy that black plastic insert and make the rest so that it isn't poking out.

I'd trim off the sharp edges, make it as level as you can and cover with gorilla tape imo.

If lens tape is acceptable for a cracked light housing once there are no sharp edges then I can't think of a reason why some durable duct tape wouldn't be a pass in this instance.

Yeah was thinking the same myself, would still like to try pull and glue it back into shape

Don't trim anything off it. Use a heat gun or if you're badly stuck - rob her hair drier :)

It'll likely come back near enough to it's own shape. Bumper is probably PP Polypropelene. Unless you can get proper glue for PP don't think anything else will stick to it.

Thanks for that I didn't know it required a specific glue.

Think I'll replace the black insert and might try heating up the bumper section and getting a hook behind it to pull it out to be level. Could just file it smooth also 😂
