Mossy garden and green area

I have a large garden and then a green area in neighbourhood that all of the residents just maange ourselves. It a mess with moss and looking what are best options to remove. I seen this and wondering has anyone used and is this the best option with the feed afterwards? my garden is not too bad but the green area is a mess and a lot of it is small areas so hard to get mowers etc into without using handheld ones

That might be ok for a mossy path but I don't think it would do the grass much good.

i have had little succes with zero or mobacter.

big bag of iron is cheap and effective. But it kills off the moss, it turns black and you need to rake it out. If the area is large, rent a scarifier. Too early for this job yet. Better when the grass is growing. Otherwise your grass will look awful until new grass will grow.

Perfectly fine to do it now. Grass is growing well. I cut mine twice in the past 10 days.

except new grass will not germinate until soil temperatures rise. When all the moss is gone, there will be very bare patches. This needs new seed. Seed needs temperature and water to grow.

Ya have to drill out the holes a bit bigger so it doesn't block up

Also, if an area is very mossy it's usually a sign of an underlying issue.

So although you might treat it now and get rid, it'll more than likely reappear next year.

Usually a sign of poor drainage or soil compaction.

Mix in a bucket and strain into the watering can or sprayer through something like an old t shirt and there are no blockages.

Too slow tbh if you're doing a lot of it

I drilled out the watering can today it's working perfect

I've a big bucket filling the whole time while I'm watering the lawn

Ya won't get away without staining but contrary to popular belief staining isn't permanent outside

I did 7 fills of a backpack sprayer last weekend. Straining took no time at all.
