Long Term Lease Scheme

    Hello,

We have an apartment leased to the council under the LTL scheme. The 10 years are coming to an end, and they are to exit in July, and return the property in 'a good state of repair, subject to wear and tear'.

Has anyone any experience with exciting the scheme. Are they obliged to return with furniture in tact. Has anyone any advice. Assuming no risk of the tennant squatting in the property.

While the scheme was convenient and we didn't need to worry about continuity of rent, we need to increase rent potential now. We are in negative equity and the property has mica, so we are going to rent privately and either get on a defective concrete Block scheme or sell in a few years.

In the mmeantime we want to exit the scheme so any advice is welcome.
