I have an ear issue and am not satisfied with the treatment given in the public clinic.

I am considering to see ENT specialist privately, but I can't find the approximate consultation cost. What shall I expect to pay for a consultation only?

    Many thanks

In and around €250 for the 1st visit and usually a lower rate for subsequent visits. €180 is a common enough 2nd and subsequent rate.

My dr referred me to a private ENT at my request.

At 6 months I had to start hounding them for an appointment. Finally got a cancellation appointment at 7 months. It cost over 200 for a 10 minute assessment.

I was then told they were referring me to a different team, which incidentally is public....4 months passed I contacted that team , they never got the referral... finally got an appointment a year after the initial ENT specialist.

So pretty much 18/19 months after my dr sent the letter I got sorted..... absolute joke!

    Thanks all.

I have VHI policy that covers €60 per consultation. Hopefully I won't need several visits.
