I've agreed to buy a Pro Sport .177 and am in the process of getting the necessary paperwork and certs done. I've been doing a bit of research on potential scopes - there's a lot out there so initially I was going to opt for a Hawke Vantage 4-12x40AO which can be had for 100e. Will probably do the job initially, particularly after the outlay on rifle, safe, licence etc.

However, if someone has a scope that would suit and might be interested in selling you might let me know. Budgeting around 150e for a better used alternative to the Hawke Vantage.

Rifle is going to be used for vermin control and plinking (30-50m)

    UPDATE

Got sorted - picked up a Optisan HX 4 - 12x40 AO for €65. Will be plenty to get going initally
