I heard earlier today that Gerry Moore died last month.

Gerry was lead singer with the Dublin band Street Talk. They had a number of airplay hits on the super pirates of the 1980's, notably Sunshine and Nova. Gerry himself went on to be a V/O artist and was the voice of many radio adverts and promos in the super pirate era. He was the voice of the characters in The Penny Farthing bicycle shop adverts and of the Q102 (pirate) 'Stickerman' promotion series. He also sang and voiced the ident package for Sammy Prendergast's Liberty Radio.

    RIP

Sad news. Wasn’t he the voice of Champion Sports for a long time too?
