Eir 4G home plan price increases

So, Eir introduced an automatic yearly price increase for their plans....

I'm on the 34.99 post-pay home plan. It's always been a month to month "contract" as I didn't take their modem at the time I started.

now that the year is up, I have the monthly increase about to hit and I am wondering if others in the same situation have had any trouble just cancelling and signing up again? or has anyone bothered to do this? Or maybe there is a simpler solution to staying on the original price?

Ideally I'd like to avoid signing up to 1 or 2 years and I dont need a modem/router. Although I am starting to think about Eir's TV product....
