Padlock for shed

Is there such a thing as a foolproof (or as near as) padlock, to lock a shed?

I had my bike stolen recently, have got a shed now, will be locking the next bike in the shed, and want to padlock the shed shut as well.

What's the best one to deter would-be thieves and send them on to an easier target??

I was looking at this recently too as I'm planning a shed build, the recommendation was a hidden shackle type lock. Its only going to slow them down really but as you said I'd hope they would just move on to an easier target.

If the lock is outside go for a weather resistant one as a normal cheapy one will rust very quickly and probably get stuck locked.

Whichever of these types suits your needs.

Also, you can get simple enough shed alarms which might also help act as a deterrent.

Recommend one of these - i have one on my shed. Its heavy duty and would be difficult for thieves to saw through. Combo lock also much handier than a key version.

No shackle to break or cut, youll probably find something similar for less on amazon

Put a ground anchor in the shed and then lock your bike to it.

Yeah, I'm coming down with keys as it is, I was aiming for a combination lock. That looks grand, and won't break the bank either. Thanks!

That's the plan (well, it'll be a bar set in the wall, but same principle). But I then want to lock the shed as well.
