    I am looking out for a circa 10yo petrol car with automatic transmission for my daughter who has just started driving. All this torque automatic, dual clutch transmission, continuous variable transmission and automated manual has my head spinning. I don't want to buy a car and then hand out another lump sum for some transmission problem that I should have been aware of. What is reliable and what is not, I am looking for opinions.
