Upgrading 2nd car from 08 Skoda Superb

I am looking to upgrade my 2008 Skoda Superb which is getting worn out after giving me 10 fairly trouble free years. It has about 300K miles on the clock. We have 3 kids under 10 and the Superb has been our second car, which I mainly use for a 30 min daily motorway commute.

I am budgeting for anything between €10K to €15K plus whatever small amount the Superb might make on trade-in, looking to get something that's got plenty of room, easy enough to maintain, efficient for motorway driving, but not ready to go electric just yet. Long time since I was looking at cars - we bought a VW Touran when the 3rd came along - so very little idea of what might be some good options in that price range, and any advice would be most welcome!

The obvious choice would be another Superb but on your budget it will be difficult to get even a newer generation model with half reasonable mileage.

    Ms

Ford mondeo. Plenty big and cheaper than the Superb as they do not hold there value as well so make a great second hand buy.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I think what @goochy is getting at is if you're sure your odometer is in miles not kilometres.

Be that may, once you stay on top of servicing, there's no reason a car can go on and on and on.

I remember Skoda themselves highlighted a gold colour early 00s Octavia with somewhere in the region of 800K on the odometer running just fine.

    This too shall pass.
