Scam call

Just got a what i think was a scam call, at 9pm, caller said how much I wanted for my car. After some back and forth saying i didnt have a car for sale etc, he was annoyed throughout, he said 'my wife said you have a car for sale' then he started talking across the room to someone about supposed advert, then said 'why put it up on online if its not for sale are you stupid'

He wasnt Irish either but irrelevant perhaps..

Tried to ring back but could not connect.

Just worried because my bill is taken from my bank

It was a wrong number. Where could it be a scam?

Well usually when you try to ring the number back, the reply is cannot connect, so I dont know

Phone number spoofing is an ongoing phenomenon.

It’s extremely annoying when you get these calls, but be assured it won’t affect your finances etc, it’s usually that scammers just use any random selection of numbers.

If you ever have any concerns regarding transaction on bank account alway contact bank asap, they are pretty good at dealing with any such issues as they arise.

That’s just some knob who rang a wrong number and got agressive.

Ignore it.

Also, most scam calls are just targeting random numbers. They’ll claim to be from a major company or organisation: a bank, An Post, revenue etc etc and try to get you to give them your bank card details usually. Just never engage with them and hang up.

The other one at the moment is silent calls from totally spoofed numbers. They’re not coming from the number they display. Either don’t answer unrecognised numbers or hang up as soon as you recognise it’s a scam.

They can’t do anything to you just because you answer the phone.
