Open Eir give no timeline to resolve

I've applied via Eir to have my fibre broadband point within my house moved (we've renovated). Eir said that Open Eir will prioritize all "faults" ahead of my 'move' and Open Eir can give no guidance as to how long my job will take. They are still in 'storm' mode with thousands of faults yet to remedy (since the January storms)

Should I just sign up with another provider (who I accept will probably rely on Open Eir) in the hope that a new connection request will be prioritized over my existing Eir request?

    Cheers
