    Hi all,

just asking for a bit of help.

I am currently a paye employee but offered a part time, when required gig with a semi state company. They have issued a contract and in the fine print is the withholding tax.Do i need to set up as a sole trader to claim for tax credits and expenses? Do i need an accountant or is this all managable through revenue online?.

The amount earned over the year could be between 3-5k PA. Seems the set up isnt really worth the financial reward.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
