Grade I Accountant in the Civil Service

Anyone else on the Grade I Accountant panel? Just interested if anyone knows the status of the recruitment thus far, how many are on the panel etc.

Out of interest when was the closing application date for these panels?

I applied for a panel back around early 2021 got offered a role but never accepted as moved elsewhere in the private sector.

Hadn’t noticed any new Grade 1/2 accountant roles/panel interviews in the last while as would have possibly applied again.

Competition was in 2023 and the closing date was sometime summer maybe I think.

There was an initial batch interviewed and placed in 2nd half of 2023 and a 2nd batch interviewed in April/May this year and they're currently working down through this panel. Movement has been slow enough on it.

I interviewed in January of this year, placed high on the panel, got offered a position in August but turned it down.

The actual office location was too far away from my home and i wasn't willing to go back to a long commute regardless of WFH & flexi options.
