Mortgage costings sheet

    Hi folks,

Currently in the process of getting a mortgage with AIB and we’re building by way of fixed price contract. Because of this we do not have a contingency amount however the banks are still requesting it to be on the costings sheet which puts us way over budget for what we can borrow.

Do these costings sheets have any bearing on borrowing eligibility for fixed price contracts or are these simply a measure to see how much the build will be worth?

Pulling my hair out at the minute with this because one person in bank is telling us one thing and the other is telling us something different and going around in circles.

    Thanks in advance
