Tuath Housing rent cap?

    Hi all,

We live in a Tuath house for the past 5 years and just had our annual rent assessment. Our rent has always been expensive and this year has gone up to €180 per week. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a rental cap? It says nothing online about in or in our tenant handbook.

    TIA

Isn't it a percentage of household income that you're charged with these approved housing bodies?

I can't see 180 euro a week being anywhere near what a rent cap should be if there is one.

Are you in a cost-rental, or standard social housing, ie differential rent? (If you don't know the difference it's most likely the latter.)

Has your household income gone up by roughly 3x the rent increase? Remembering to include any adults who joined the household, or children who became adult.
