Best network for rural Clare - No signal currently!

My parents have recently moved out into the sticks. They're currently with Three/Tesco Mobile but the signal is atrocious. Pretty much can't get any signal inside the house and very hit and miss even outside.

It's a real pain they basically can't use their phone now, either calls don't go through or they do but it's constantly cutting out. Virtually unusable.

What network would be best for them please?

I'm not too techy, but looking at Comreg site viewer, there seems to be a Vodafone mast not too far away.

However I see that Vodafone are discontinuing their 3G network which is probably what they would need as I can't see them getting 4G or 5G anytime soon.

So now I'm thinking Eir.

Eircode nearby is H91 F2RC

What network would be best switching them over to please as it's getting ridiculous now with them being virtually uncontactable.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Only thing to do is try the other networks, purchase a prepay sim from eir/vodafone and see what speeds you get on a phone.

Hard to know you’re so far north.

in west Clare myself and eir is best option,

for internet, I just got starlink and it’s going well so far,

Thanks, was also going to add if anyone knows of a good bundle for broadband as well.

I'm currently thinking of Vodafone or Eir.

Happy to see a mobile SIM in a router also. Would need unlimited Data though as the parents like their Netflix! :D

Vodafone have been swapping and activating 4G in places they never bothered doing when they are shutting down the 3G, so if you could borrow a SIM might be an option, don't know if they offer free sim online order to test

Well given the Netflix, they should get 1GB fibre internet, which is available from Eir to that Eircode. I have it and it also came with a VOIP landline number I don't use, but your parents could.
