Liffey Valley 2 lane approach, 1 lane exit?

Is this considered to be 1 lane or 2 lane exit? There are no lane markings on exit. In a scenario where 2 cars enter the roundabout, both going straight, does the car on the outside lane have the right of way even if his lane is almost immediatelly followed by bus lane, so looks like the car on the inside lane would have priority going out? No arrows on the approach

Pretty sure that’s the roundabout just down from Finches? Entering from the direction in the picture, the right lane is for right turns (3rd exit) only. The left lane is for left (1st exit) and straight on (2nd exit). The markings on the road to that effect are just before where the picture was taken.

Edit, think I was viewing it from the wrong direction, my apologies

Assuming there are no visible road markings to the contrary. Therefore it's two in two out, and the left lane coming out needs to change lane to avoid the bus lane so must give way to traffic already in the right lane

There is a lane line on the entry so 2 lanes in and none on the exit so only 1 lane out. Page 86 below.

A bus lane then starts further down the road which is irrelevant to the roundabout.

If coming from Liffey valley towards Neolstown road, left lane and right lane are clearly marked. However, none of the other exits on the roundabout are makes in true Irish fashion.

So I'm the above example, coming from Fonthill road direction, there are two exit lanes. Unless otherwise marked, I'd always use the clock face rule on a roundabout. Left lane for 1st and 2nd exit, right lane for 2nd and 3rd, where the 2nd exit is at 12pm.

Although, not too far away from there near to the mill shopping centre is another crazy one (

The left lane is for the second exit at 12 unless otherwise signed. The right lane is only if the exit is after 12.

"When there’s no signage, the ”golden rule” in the Rules of the Road is to picture the roundabout as a clock with your entrance as 6 o’clock. If you’re taking any exit between 6 and 12, stay in the left lane. Going straight ahead (exiting at 12), you can use either lane – generally keep left, but if there is a long queue turning left, then you can take the right lane. If your exit is after 12 o’clock (ie. any exit to the right), then approach the roundabout in the right lane."

And this is the problem. The statement is with left lane for BEFORE 12 and right lane for AFTER 12. But not clear when the exit is AT 12

The RSA aren’t clear with anything and never will be.

The 12 o clock exit is left lane, unless otherwise stated, or if it is known there are 2 lanes on exit. I, an ADI, and other ADIs teach this.

It is not rocket science, left lane up to 12, right lane 12:01 and above, you can not pass 12 in the left lane, in the right lane you can exit anywhere after 12 if it is clear

Unless there's 2 exit lanes before 12 then you can exit from the right lane. In the OPs case there isn't 2 exit lanes.

And alot of the issue is, so many roundabouts have bushes in the middle so you can't see the other side, so you've no idea what is on the other side

How is that an issue? If you can't see it's 1 lane or 2, assume it's 1 and take the left lane unless otherwise signposted. What is so difficult about this?
