Retrofit Ventilation & Heating System

We are having external wall insulation, attic floor insulation, new windows and new doors being installed in the coming months.

Over the next 1 - 2 years, we are also looking to have floor insulation done.

The house needs re-wiring, re-plumbing and redecorating too.

We're on a tight budget but willing to wait a few extra years and save if it means getting things "right".

Should we be aiming for underfloor heating, air to water heat pump and mechanical heat recovery ventilation to make the house as comfortable as healthy and comfortable as possible? Or are there alternatives to these technologies we should be looking at? The house is a 1970s mainly hollow block semi.

It is still very common to hear that heat pumps are not worth it yet from plumbers etc.

What about ventilation? Not sure I like the idea of something running 24/7 and filters requiring maintenance but if it makes the house significantly more comfortable and healthier than other solutions, then it would be worth it.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
