Oil Maintenance Reset Fault

    Hello,

    My 2015 Corolla keeps throwing up the "Oil Maintenance" message on dashboard.

    x5 times in the last week, even after I reset it.

    Any ideas why this happens & how to fix??

    Have you checked the engine oil level? It could be that there there to much or too little oil in the engine.

    We had a 2015 Corrola diesel which used about 1 litre of oil every 5K KM and it would show up the low oil level light regularly. Before that we had a 2011 Corrolla diesel which had an issue with increasing oil levels which would activate the "oil maintenance" message. It was something to do with failed DPF regenerations and diesel mixing with the oil.

    This is telling you that an oil & filter change is due or about to fall due. Have you done an oil & filter change recently & if so did the technician reset the maintenance warning on completion?

    Think oil is a little high

    Will check this weekend

    Toyota mechanic said so too.

    How many kilometres have you driven since the oil & filter was last changed?

    Just FYI to any interested onlookers.

    The oil was a little overfilled was all that was wrong.

    Thanks to all for the help.
