    Hi,

I have a question on AVCs

(Have looked through guides on revenue.ie but haven't seen the answer to this one)

Up to recently, I was paid a base monthly salary by my company, of which, I paid a percentage AVC in to my pension that was taken at source. All straight forward.

But from this year, I will be paid a base salary and a fixed travel allowance monthly. All of which is taxed at normal rates.

My question is this - should my company be taking AVC's at source calculated from :

    A: the base monthly salary

B: base salary + fixed monthly allowance?

    Thanks

    Pension is usually just Salary.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?
