CNN HD - "not receiving a satellite signal" message

I've just had a new satellite dish installed for my sky+ and humax freesat boxes. Most stations seem OK as far as I can tell, but I noticed last night that CNN HD gives a "no satellite signal being received" message.

Is CNN HD on the edge of a frequency and I need to more accurately align the dish?

If so, what are the best stations to tune into, to ensure I am correctly aligned and receiving all channels?

    Thanks

Its quite possible that the frequency for CNN has changed so this is the correct frequency and it has a twofold function its weak so if you get it dish is correct but if you have a Zone 1 dish its harder to get as well.

Use these 11671 H, 23000 dvb-s2, 2/3 8PSK. It has GB NEWS as well. And today is a good day as well as its cloudy and wet.

I ue a 68CM triax dish a bit bigger than a Zone 2 but not much.

It's worth taking into account also that the IF frequency the LNB converts the incoming signal down the coax to is ~1921 MHz for the transponder CNN HD International is on, and as this is one of the highest frequencies post-downconversion, long lengths of coax e.g. 30+ metres (or 20+ metres for the thinner "shotgun" cable), or substandard versions of, could cause issues by the time it reaches the receiver.

If @swoofer 's advice has worked for you then all should be good; otherwise check for a signal also for France 24 & Bloomberg TV's transponder (parameters - Freq: 11686 Polarity: V Modulation: DVB-S2 8PSK, Symbol Rate: 23000, FEC: 2/3) which will be on a nearby frequency that'll also suffer from long runs/substandard cable. If they're not available, then that should ring some alert bells as to your overall setup

11671 is one of the weaker transponders so the dish alignment/LNB skew may need tweaking assuming the dish has a clear path (no trees etc)
