    I'm levelling a bit of ground for a garden shed and came across this. Any idea what it is? Not sure how deep it goes yet. Doesn't sound hollow but don't want to break it up yet in case it's something I shouldn't mess with!

    Is it your septic tank or some sewer pipe junction.


    Only thing is bet on is that it needs to be there.

    Was there an old outhouse there?

    Hose it off and expose more and we'll see how she was laid; but it's probably a sewer/tank alright.
