Trigger from Germany

Guys,

I’m about to buy a Glock Drop in Performance Trigger from Germany.

Supplier is Huntac. They are saying they need no paperwork from me.

I just want to make sure, do I need to apply for an import licence or anything specific here?

Bought a few things from Huntac including mag parts. Great company to deal with..

Work away. The performance trigger pack isn't a critical component either here or in Germany.So its a free to move part.

Got in a Bix n Andy trigger unit for my sako 75 before and their wasn’t any issues posting it over from main land Europe.

Trigger is not an "essential component", so you licence covers you for possessing it and it requires no import permit.

Nope, but I do remember when the 44 first came out they were recommending keeping the stock trigger weight, ie not using ghost disconnectors which a really low weight since they may not hit the primer on a rimfire round with enough force to ignite it.

Yes I’ve read that alright. The main gripe is just the sloppy initial pull that id like removed. I’d keep the weight the same if the take up was reduced or smoother more to what I like.

They also recommend swapping the extractor from the performance trigger with the oem extractor as it catches the rimfire better.

I’m hoping it should be fine as it retains the 44 trigger bar, and all trigger internals. I decided against the performance trigger or any other kits due to the light primer strikes as mentions.

This trigger may be all just about the feel, the flat face.

Collected and fitted the trigger today. (Couldn’t wait till weekend!)

First impressions is that it “feels” better.

No lighter, which is what I was aiming for due to light strike risks. Pre-travel is similar but there a definitive wall now and the break and reset is crisp and sharpe.

I did find the stock 44 trigger was rather spongey feeling and this looks like a perfect fix for that.

I also got a metal mag base plate but it’s as tight as a nuns you know what. I can’t get it on so rather than risk it with a mallet and it may never come back off, I’m gona leave it!

Just have to hunt down 2 mag restrictors to limit them to 5 rounds.
