Do Not Disturb Notification

How can I remove the DND notification from the Android notification bar? No matter what I change in Settings it stays there. In System UI DND notification toggle is dimmed and can't be focused to switch the toggle.

So did a bit of searching and it looks like it can't be done without rooting or a third-party app.

So is it on or off?

As far i can see, by default, icon appear once you enable DnD.

Perhaps you have some 3dr party app that has already taken control over your DnD?

No app required, if it's on switch it to off and vice versa

This turns off Do Not Disturb, and, while it removes the notification, I assume the OP wants DND on and the notification removed, which isn't possible without rooting or using a third party app
