    Hi all

I don't have the NCTS fail sheet to hand.

Can you still rock up for a Visual without booking a Retest online or over the phone?

I checked the NCTS website and it seems to suggest that all RE Tests must be booked in. Am I reading that correctly I don't know.

    Thanks

You can rock up. Only actual retests in a lane need booking.

It's even better than that, you can get a free visual retest done at any NCT without an appointment, handy if you had to travel a distance for the first one. I would suggest having the fail sheet with you to get it done a bit quicker.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Was just about to ask the Q - do you need to go back to the same test centre where you initially failed or can you go to any centre in Ireland for the retest?

it was just a visual fail so it will not need to go into a lane or require the use of test equipment.
