Volvo v40 position light malfunction

    Hi I have a Volvo v40 2015 with warning for position lights malfunction on dash. I’ve changed bulbs in front lights and there not coming on?doesn’t seem to be a fuse for them .Fault still there

    any Volvo experts out there ? Or has it happened to anyone before?

    Position lights mean the parking light bulbs, which you may not notice if you have DRLs. Check the bulbs themselves (even if they are shining) and the bulb holders for corrosion.

    not sure if you have LEDS front and/or rear but check the tail lights and their holders as well.

    Hi thanks for reply. Found that the holders inside the headlight unit for these bulbs weren’t seated right and after a bit of playing around got them working. They can push down out of there seat when changing bulbs as there not that tightly fitted.
