Setting up wifi in a portacabin for a mate, turns out he needs the network cable for phone lines and door bell

The builders also ran a fibre cable to comms cabinates in both buildings

Cables are terminated to fittings called OM3

Looking at fibre to ethernet adaptors on amazon would these work?

Hi, just looking through post and have a question. I have the eir fibre broadband 1 gigabit in my home. My WiFi has improved from the previous set up where previously I used TP-Links to boost my WiFi signal in various rooms.

Just wondering are these TP-Links obsolete now or can they still be used with this eir fibre broadband?

Will appreciate any genuine advice.

@User567363 OM3 is multimode fibre. Neither the media converter or LC-LC patch lead you posted are suitable for it.

Ideally you would need 2 switches with SFP+ cage and multimode SFP transreceiver for them to use that cable.

SFP+ Transreceiver must match with the connector used on OM3 fibre cable, usually either LC or SC. LC being more common.
