Importing from the NI

Hey all,

Since brexit things changed but I am wondering is it still possible to bring car over from the NI (without being charged vrt and vat or whatever else) - is the condition that the car had to be registered in the north before brexit date which was some time in 2021? Or is it that the car has to have ref from before 2021 and can be from anywhere in UK ?

Be careful. Almost impossible to calculate the vrt.

Thanks, what do they need that customs declaration from the dealership in NI if car was from mainland UK for? And can dealers give me one?

Hi, some great comments here. Does anyone know what the position is on importing a used van from the UK by an Irish vat registered company? What is VRT rate, VAT rate etc?
