Children's Allowance Question

    Hi,

I'm an Irish national working in the UK. My wife and two children have moved back to Ireland and i hope to follow them in due course. The child benefit team have said i need to continue to receive the benefit from the UK Govt because i pay tax in the UK. However, in the UK, if you earn over 50 GBP you're subject to tax and in my case i end up paying it all back in tax.

In Ireland it's not subject to tax so given my children are in Ireland, is there any way i can claim in ireland and cancel my UK child benefit?

    Thanks
