Old Military Bunker in Dublin?

I've always wondered, at the corner of R110 and R137 ( sorry Google doesn't give any street names there ?) possibly Kevin Street, if the construction in front of the Maldron hotel was an old bunker? It's the construction / building directly at the corner, the trees are behind... Something the British may have built prior to 1921? It does have an entrance, stairs going down and there are openings for air on the side?

That's it alright, it's one of the many underground public toilets that was closed down years ago.

I thought of toilets as well. But that big now rusty iron door made me think it might have been military.

Here was another one on College Street just beside Trinity that's now gone. Can see it on Google maps up until 2014.
