Tax rate bands adjusted - reteospective claim possible?

Hi, we got married in 2017 and requested to be Joint Assessed, with some of my husband's tax credits allocated to me as I earn more.

We always submit a balancing statement at the end of the year along with our health expenses and usually get a refund.

This year when sorting out the balancing statement I noticed the tax rate bands for the first time.. my husband had a higher allowance than me so I used the Revenue calculator to adjust the bands to better reflect our salaries.

My wages today were taxed significantly less, saving me €250. I am wondering with this limited amount of information would anyone know is this tax saving likely to have come from the tax rate bands adjustment? Or is it a result of changes to tax from the budget?

If it is caused by me adjusting the tax bands, is it possible to review the tax bands for recent years and claim a refund? Or are the reviews already submitted for those years final?

Thanks in advance for any guidance
