I bought a spare controller on Amazon. It didn't cost full price but I think it was a genuine one.

I'm having problems with it. The buttons are too sensitive and sometimes don't work. It also comes up on screen that the controller may not work.

Just wondering would non genuine controllers ever cause problems? And is it common?

Does it look like an official one?

Similar experience from Amazon, controller should be genuine but I got the same warning that it may not work and the analog sticks are far too sensitive

It was a while ago but I think it was official. It is camouflage. I remember an official looking box. It wasn't white like my other one.
