Sound proofing under hard wood floor

    We are having a hardwood floor installed in upstairs rooms soon. Subfloor is plywood but there is quite a bit of noise that come from the dryer/boiler/washer downstairs into one of the upstairs rooms. Currently just laminate.

    the installer has Tredaire Silentfloor Gold Underlay and he claims it reduces noise.

    has anyone experience with this or a better recommendation please?? Looking to cover about 20m2 only but really want to do my best to try to cut the noise.
