Nest vs smart TRVs

I bought a set of smart TRVs for my house, and I already have a nest smart thermostat. I'm in a quandary as to how to set everything up though. Surely when the room the nest stat is in reaches the temperature that it's set to, it'll turn off the heating, regardless of the temperature of the other rooms. So should I put the nest in the coldest room or what? Any guidance on how to get the system working right would be great. Thanks!

Which smart TRV system is it?

I have the honeywell evo home ~7 years now, there is no need for a nest or other central thermostat.

In fact it might do more harm than good by shutting off the heating system.

That said, if your trvs don't have a connection back to the boiler, you'll need something to turn on/off the boiler.

There should be some documentation with the TRVs about how to setup your boiler/thermostat.

I went with TP-Link Kasa TRVs. They don't have a link back to the boiler and basically say to not have a smart TRV in the room that has the nest in it and put it in the coldest room, which I've done. I've set up schedules on the TRVs, and have the nest dropping right back after midnight. My goal is to get the temperature even and predictable across the rooms in use in the house but also save money on the gas bill, which is crazy at the moment.

I use Smart Plugs/Switches/Alexa Routines to manage my Kasa TRVs, Oil Boiler, and Zone Valves and it works a treat.
