Best FTTC provider?

Moving house and unfortunately SIRO is not available at the location and neither is NBI.

It leaves us with the only option of FTTC 100mb packages unfortunately for the foreseeable future.

Options are Eir, Sky, Virgin, Vodafone and Digiweb. All packages are 30-35 euro per month.

Any particular provider we should go with? Would normally go with SIRO as it's been very fast and handy to use but unfortunately no fiber at the address.

You say that Virgin is an option - that isn't FTTC - its either their old co-ax system or they'll install FTTH if available.

I'd go with Virgin if you can get it for the higher speeds. I had it for years and it was generally ok. Ended up ditching it a year ago as I could get OpenEir FTTH for half the cost of Virgin

When I put my eircode in it says they offer 100mb but doesn't let me proceed so I may give them a ring and see what they can do.

It's so frustrating, openeir map shows houses directly across the road have fiber but we don't and the expected date to rollout is 2026...

For Virgin? Are you absolutley sure as they don't do FTTC - They only have their old hybrid co-ax cable/fibre network or the newer FTTH network

Their hybrid co-ax cable/fibre network is strictly speaking FTTC just not xDSL. 100mb is not a speed tier they offer (at least any more) so does seem unlikely though.

Called them today, unfortunately not in our area.. gutted. 100mb it is so and pray they lay down fiber on our side of the road

Eir have the best internal network, still with them for fttc. Pure are great too but latency is a little higher if you're into online shooters. I would avoid Vodafone, it's been years since I was with them but had nothing but problems. Bad network and support.
